Changes in GOS scores based on questionnaires. There was no significant difference in GOS score between the two groups at any time point: 2.72 ± 0.93 in group N and 2.88 ± 0.67 in group E before eradication (P = 0.48), 1.83 ± 0.87 in group N and 1.84 ± 0.61 in group E just after eradication (at 1–2 months) (P = 0.88), 1.68 ± 0.88 in group N and 1.95 ± 1.00 in group E in the long term (P = 0.28). In the long term after successful eradication, GOS score was significantly decreased compared to that before eradication in both groups (P < 0.01)
