Geranylgeranylacetone (GGA) decreased LX2 and HHSteC density in a concentration-dependent manner. After treatment with GGA (0.10–0.50 mM) for 24 h, three different cell lines, LX2 cells, HHSteCs and HepG2 cells, were observed by phase-contrast microscopy. There were no significant morphological changes or cell density decrease in HepG2 cells
