Loss of prevention of EPEC-induced increased zonulin expression level for LPKM. (A) Western blotting showed that zonulin protein expression level was higher in EPEC group, compared with the uninfected group. After the simultaneous treatment of LP, the increased zonulin protein expression level was lost. However, simultaneous treatment of LPKM did not change the increased zonulin protein expression level; (B) Semi-quantitative analysis of western blots results; (C) Detection of zonulin mRNA expression levels by qRT-PCR found that EPEC enhanced the zonulin protein expression level, which could not be prevented by LPKM but LP. *vs. EPEC group, Pā€‰<ā€‰0.05; # vs. *, Pā€‰<ā€‰0.05.
