Human peritoneal mesothelial cells (HPMC) 24 h after incubation with and without SF-CM from gastric cancer cells.

(A) Control cells display normal nuclei and endoplasmic reticula. (B) Cells treated with SF-CM from MKN1 gastric cancer cells show chromatin condensed into masses, and on the boundary of the membrane or forming arch. Budding and the formation of the apoptosis bodies were observed (arrows in B). (C) .Cells treated with SF-CM from MKN45 gastric cancer cells show condensation of nuclear chromatin (arrows in C). (D) Cells treated with gastric cancer cell line MGC-803 were similar to B. Budding and the formation of the apoptosis bodies were also observed.
