  1. PAD duration and treatment periods of each group showed statistically significant differences. Hospital stay Group 4 (Empyema) was significantly longer than those of group 3, however, those of Group 2 and patients with complicated PE (Group 3 and 4) showed no differences, neither between Group 1 and other groups. Discharge rates without complication, recurrence rates, readmission rate, and mortality rates showed no significant differences between each group.
