From: IFI16 is involved in HBV-associated acute-on-chronic liver failure inflammation
The localization of IFI16+ cells in CD68+ macrophages from the livers of healthy donors, CHB patients, and ACLF patients was detected by immunofluorescence double staining. Immunofluorescence double staining revealed that IFI16 was localized in the nucleus of CD68+ macrophages in healthy donors and CHB patients but in the cytoplasm of HBV-ACLF patients.
