Induction treatments comprised prednisolone, tacrolimus, 5-ASA, cyclosporine, azathioprine, and/or leukocytapheresis in all 14 patients with CD. Nine patients successfully entered remission while five patients remained in the active stage after induction treatment. There was no significant difference in AIM levels between the two groups.
