Mice were treated with different doses of carrageenan, and then intrarectally challenged with 100 μL of 1 % oxazolone. One day after treatment, the decrease in body weight and the mortality rate of the animals were recorded. Pairwise comparisons between groups at various time points were conducted by using two-way ANOVA and the LSD post hoc test. * P < 0.05, ** P < 0.01, compared with that of the Blank group. # P < 0.05, ## P < 0.01, compared to that of the oxazolone-treated group
