  1. The patient was screened for published mutations in exons 2–6 (exon 1 is untranslated) of the CASR gene. PCR products were gel-purified and sequenced on an ABI PRISM 377 DNA sequencer (Applied Biosystems, Foster, CA) using the listed primers for PCR and sequencing.
