Leptin levels in controls and cirrhotic patients by gender and Child-Pugh class. Male patients in the control group had significantly lower leptin levels compared to cirrhotic male cases that belongs to B and C classes (p = 0.006, p = 0.008, respectively). On the other hand, female gender revealed significant difference only between Child Pugh C class patients and controls (p = 0.02).
