Effects of IL-4 or IL-10 on suppression of TNBS-induced TNF-α and IL-6 expression in TNBS-induced murine colitis. Mice with TNBS-induced colitis showed a higher level of pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α and IL-6) than that of the mice treated with IL-4, IL-10 and their combination. A: The colonic TNF-α expression was determined by quantitative real-time RT-PCR. B: The expression of colonic IL-6 in mice. The data are expressed as mean ± s.d.
